2019 - Dennis Eberhard brings a unique set of skills and experience to his clients. In addition to developing and leasing over 25 new shopping centres with various public and private companies, Dennis has leasing responsibilities for several national retailers such as Bank of Nova Scotia, Hudson Bay Company, Zellers and Kmart. Dennis' strengths are lease negotiations combined with market analysis and experience in understanding tenant location strategies.
Dennis started out his career working for such notable retail companies as The Bank of Nova Scotia, Hudson's Bay Company, Zellers and K-mart where he was responsible for negotiating new store leases and developing retail location strategies. Dennis went on to work for several private and public shopping centre development companies which included retail leasing responsibilities for South Keys shopping centre, Ottawa; Kanata Centrum shopping centre, Kanata; Bayer's Lake Road, Halifax; Signal Hill shopping centre, Calgary; Trinity Common, Brampton; Wheeler Park Power Centre, Moncton; and RIOCAN Colossus Centre, Vaughan.
He was also Senior Vice President and Business Unit Leader for Smartcentres for 14 years where he lead a team of planning, leasing, finance and construction associates to develop and manage a portfolio of 45 shopping centres in Eastern Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
Dennis has over 28 years of experience in the shopping centre industry. He is a licensed Realtor in Ontario and holds a Hon. B.A. in Urban Geography from Wilfred Laurier University and a M.A. in Urban Geography from the University of Western Ontario. He now resides in Ottawa, Ontario.
The past ten years have been an incredibly fun and busy time since the formation of the Rocket Retail Advisory. A partnership of several best-in-class retail real estate focused brokerages located across Canada that came together in 2008 to offer a fresh alternative to the retail tenant and retail landlord representation industry.
The idea was frankly simple, but powerful! Decentralize, and establish the Rocket Retail Advisory network across Canada with the best “on the ground” regional retail experts to help clients grow their business. The idea of a national partnership of established industry professionals from several well known regional firms, working together under a common banner and philosophy, with a strong clients-first strategy, was an idea whose time had come.
Rocket Retail Advisory was established in the Fall of 2008 and the easy-to-recall, catchy brand name quickly caught on in Canadian retail real estate circles. The Advisory network grew quickly with four original offices in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Halifax; Edmonton and Calgary were soon to follow.
The team consists of team members that use the Rocket Retail Advisory name across Canada. All members are long established and recognized industry professionals, most with 20+ years of commercial real estate experience.
Rocket Retail Advisory has an extensive and growing client mandate list of top retailers, restaurateurs and service concepts. The Landlord client list is expanding as building owners across Canada recognize and depend on the Rocket brand.
